Driving from Cape Town to Johannesburg or even to Mozambique or Kruger National Park. Here is some quick and easy budget accommodation along the way.

Bloemfontein is the most central city in South Africa and the perfect rest point during a roadtrip.

Elior Guesthouse Self catering guesthouse only 5 minutes off the N1.

The Room – We stayed in the ‘Day Break’ room and paid R550 per room per night. It slept 4 people and had great self-catering facilities (braai, balcony, kitchen, ensuite bathroom and fans).

Coleberg Accommodation

Colesberg is situated between Hanover and Springfontein and is the most common stopover town between Johannesburg and Cape Town road trips.

Coles Corner – This comfortable room was so appreciated after our long drive from Kruger National Park back home to Cape Town.

Location: Torenberg Street in Colesberg.

The Room – We booked through Safari and paid R350 per room per night. We arrived at 11pm and were still warmly greeted by the owners and shown to our secure parking and cosy room (double bed, ensuite bathroom, fridge, fan and television).
